Terms of Service

BRASS · Last updated June 2026

BRASS is a community assistance network that connects people who need help with nearby volunteers (“Sevaks”) who choose to respond. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully, especially the notice below.

Who can use BRASS

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account details up to date. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Location and privacy

BRASS uses your device location to match and route help — for Sevaks, including in the background while On duty. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Accounts and suspension

We may suspend or terminate access — including Sevak status — if these terms are breached, if the service is misused, or where necessary to protect users or the integrity of the network. You may stop using BRASS and request deletion of your account at any time.

Disclaimers

BRASS is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any alert will result in a response. Reliance on the service is at your own risk, and it must never delay you from seeking any other help you need.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BRASS and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss or harm arising from the acts or omissions of Sevaks, requesters, or other users, from delayed or absent responses, or from your use of (or inability to use) the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date above, and significant changes may be highlighted in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts located in India will have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to applicable law.
